A final commitment of $297 million has been approved by the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) to support an Iraqi energy efficiency project.
By using waste heat to generate electricity, the project will improve the availability and dependability of electricity in Iraq.
Stellar Energy Americas, Inc., based in Florida, will support this project by providing engineering, procurement, construction, and other services.
It is anticipated that this transaction will support 600 jobs in more than a dozen states in the United States.
