Deputy top Minister and overseas Minister Fuad Hussein inaugurated on Wednesday, 10 September 2025, the new ‘Tasheel’ service for the digital authentication of documents thru secure mail at the Ministry’s Consular branch.
The launch became attended through Consular department Director Dr. Falah Abdul Hassan and representatives from the Ministry of Communications. Minister Hussein said the project, geared toward digitising and authenticating transactions electronically, is designed to serve residents wherever they’re.
He emphasised that the initiative, advanced in close cooperation with the Ministry of Communications, represents the primary complete automation undertaking inside an Iraqi ministry, and expressed hope that different ministries would adopt comparable practices.
The Minister additionally highlighted that the gadget will fortify transparency, put off the function of intermediaries in processing transactions, and support government efforts to fight corruption.
