Aave Labs wants to launch Aave V3 on MegaETH right at mainnet Day 0, hoping to capture early users, fresh liquidity, and strong borrowing demand as soon as the network goes live.

Aave wants a Day 0 launch on MegaETH

On December 8, Aave Labs reopened its earlier proposal to deploy V3 on MegaETH, this time with updated details that will be finalized by Aave’s risk partners.

The team says launching on Day 0 will help Aave tap into the wave of activity expected as soon as MegaETH goes live. Being early, they argue, gives Aave an advantage because liquidity and borrowing demand tend to be strong before assets and users spread out across different protocols.

The original asset list includes both bridged and native tokens.
Bridged assets include things like BTC.b, ETH, USDM, wstETH, ezETH, rsETH, USDe, and sUSDe.
Native assets include MEGA, USDM-Y, and RBT.
Chainlink is working on oracle support so everything is ready on Day 0.

Incentives and rewards

Aave Labs will receive 30 million MegaETH points, which can be used to reward lending and borrowing on the new market. These points will work just like Aave’s usual incentive system.

Users will earn points directly through the interface, and rewards will be redeemed on MegaETH’s platform at the end of every two-month season. Only KYC-verified users qualify.

MegaETH is also setting aside 6% of the MEGA token supply for a KPI-based reward system controlled by Aave governance. These tokens only unlock when Aave hits performance goals set by the DAO, giving both sides long-term alignment.

If governance agrees, the proposal will move to a snapshot vote and then to a formal AIP with final asset listings, oracle addresses, and risk parameters.

Why now?

The timing makes sense. MegaETH has been seeing a surge of interest. Its pre-deposit program started with a $250 million cap but grew to $1 billion because of high demand. The network’s main selling point is near real-time performance and a web2-like feel.

Aave has been active as well. The team recently revealed its V4 roadmap, which includes a move to ERC-4626 vault-style accounting to make integrations simpler across chains. Aave also rolled out a new savings app on November 20 to make earning stable yield easier for everyday users.

With MegaETH getting close to its full production launch and Aave preparing major upgrades, deploying Aave V3 on MegaETH at mainnet Day 0 looks like the next big step for both ecosystems as they head into 2026.
