Rafidain Bank launches 54th batch of entrepreneurship initiative to support SMEs

Rafidain Bank has announced a new round of funding to support small and medium-sized businesses across Iraq.

On Saturday, the bank revealed the launch of the 54th batch of its Entrepreneurship and Excellence Initiative. This latest round includes one billion Iraqi dinars in funding and will support 83 beneficiaries.

In a statement, the bank said this step is part of its ongoing work to finance entrepreneurs and young business owners under the initiative of the Central Bank of Iraq. The goal is clear: strengthen the private sector and give startups the push they need to grow.

Since the program began, a total of 5,284 beneficiaries have received funding. The overall value of loans granted so far has reached 67.941 billion Iraqi dinars.

Rafidain Bank said the initiative shows its continued commitment to backing innovative projects that help build the national economy. By supporting small and medium-sized enterprises, the bank aims to encourage entrepreneurship, create jobs, and support long-term economic growth.

In simple terms, the bank is continuing to invest in local businesses — helping turn ideas into real projects that can strengthen Iraq’s economy.
