Yolk Brands Expands into Iraq with 15 Restaurant Plan

Yolk Brands, the UAE-based hospitality group behind Pickl and BonBird, is expanding into Iraq through a new agreement with Al Maysarah Holding.

Under the deal, the company plans to open five Pickl restaurants and ten BonBird outlets across the country. The first locations are expected to launch in the second quarter of 2026 at Iraq Mall in Baghdad.

Yolk Brands is entering Iraq through its existing regional partnership with Al Maysarah Holding, which already operates the two brands in Jordan. The expansion is part of the company’s wider Middle East growth strategy, as it prepares for future moves into Europe and Asia.

Pickl focuses on the fast-casual dining segment, while BonBird specializes in fried chicken. The company said both brands will cater to Iraq’s growing urban dining scene, with a focus on younger customers and people looking for modern, experience-driven food options.

Yolk Brands described Iraq as a key next step in its regional expansion plans, building on its portfolio of homegrown UAE hospitality concepts.
