Salam Hussein, a member of the Coordination Framework, called on the Iraqi government to stay alert to what he described as US and Israeli plans in the region.
He said the government needs to closely watch what’s happening on the ground, especially with the ongoing conflict, which he believes is linked to wider goals in the المنطقة.
Hussein also pointed to recent protests in Baghdad and other central and southern areas. These demonstrations came after political and religious leaders urged the government to rethink its agreements with the United States in light of recent developments.
He claimed that there are efforts to reshape the region in a way that serves outside interests, and warned that Iraq could be drawn into playing a role that doesn’t serve its own priorities.
Overall, his message was clear: Iraq needs to be cautious, understand the bigger picture, and protect its own national interests first.
