Amna Wali, a member of the State of Law coalition, announced on Saturday who she believes is the most suitable candidate to become the governor of Baghdad.
According to Wali, Abdul Muttalib Ali Al-Alawi is the most suitable candidate to become the governor of Baghdad. He possesses the required capabilities as he is an advisory and strategic planning expert, a businessman, and an advisor on the Advisory Committee of the Council of Ministers. Moreover, he is responsible for following up the government program.
Currently, Al-Alawi is the candidate for governor of Baghdad for the rule of law. He is considered by political parties as an academic and technocrat, regardless of his political affiliation.
She said, “After the provincial council elections are approved, Al-Alawi’s nomination for the position of governor of Baghdad will be officially announced.”
It’s worth noting that Al-Alawi is currently serving as an advisor to the Prime Minister for administration and public policy affairs. In the provincial council elections, he received 7,629 votes and is ranked second among the nine seats of the State of Law coalition in the Baghdad Provincial Council.
