On Thursday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani announced that the development road project will contribute to the economic development of the region and the world.
The Media Office of the Council of Ministers has issued a statement mentioning that Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani met with Rashad Nabiyev, the Minister of Digital Development and Transport from Azerbaijan. This meeting was held during Rashad Nabiyev’s visit to Iraq, where he participated in the third meeting of the Joint Iraqi-Azerbaijani Committee. The minister was accompanied by a delegation of Azerbaijani businessmen.
During the meeting, the two countries discussed their bilateral relations and strengthened mutual cooperation in energy, education, communications, infrastructure, housing, and defense industries.
He highlighted the relationship between two friendly nations that are taking concrete steps. He also mentioned the strategic development project that will contribute to the economic growth of the region and the world.
Al-Sudani mentioned “the events in Gaza” and praised the Secretary-General of the United Nations for activating Article 99 of the United Nations Charter. He called on Islamic countries to support this initiative.
During his visit, the guest minister conveyed his greetings to the Prime Minister and expressed Azerbaijan’s desire to strengthen the bilateral relations with Iraq. He also mentioned the hope for the participation of major Azerbaijani companies in the Iraqi economy. The minister stressed that Azerbaijan is ready to host Iraqi students in military academies at the government’s expense.
