Anbar announces the imminent operation of all suspended government factories

The head of the advisory body in the Anbar Governorate Office, Mazen Abu Risha, announced that all government factories idle for over 20 years will soon be operational.

Abu Risha announced in a statement that during the current year, the Fallujah and Al-Qaim cement plants have been operational along with the Akkas electrical station in Al-Qaim, located west of Anbar. The responsibility of restarting the glass factories in Ramadi has been entrusted to Russian companies, and it is expected that the remaining government factories that are currently suspended will be operational in the near future.

He mentioned that the Ministry of Industry and Electricity is currently in the process of transferring several factories that have been inactive for over 20 years to international investment companies that have reviewed the investment opportunities and expressed their willingness to operate in the cities of Anbar. He also emphasized that operating government factories that have been inactive in Anbar will help to reduce unemployment and boost the economy of both the country and the province.

According to him, the Anbar government places great importance on rehabilitating these factories to boost the state’s revenue and employment opportunities.

Abu Risha stated that t”e central government is determined to restart all factories that have stopped operating in Anbar Governorate.
