Baghdad's Air Quality Near Worst in World

Iraqi has been positioned 6th most terrible in the 2023 World Air Quality Report.

In its city rankings, Baghdad came in fifth most obviously terrible spot.

The 2023 World Air Quality Report gives a worldwide survey of air quality information for the year 2023. The report sums up PM2.5 air quality information from 7,812 urban communities crossing 134 nations, areas, and regions.

More than 30,000 air quality monitoring stations operated by research institutions, governmental bodies, educational facilities, non-profit organizations, private businesses, and citizen scientists provided the data used in this report.

PM2.5 information is accounted for in units of micrograms per cubic meter (μg/m 3 ) and consolidates the most recent World Wellbeing Association (WHO) yearly PM2.5 rule and break focuses for information
perception and hazard correspondence (delivered in 2021).
