The completion of the database for the 1.2 million newly registered families for social welfare salaries was announced by Sanaa Al-Moussawi, the advisor to the Prime Minister for social protection.
“We were hoping that the first batch would be offered to include new registrants in social welfare, but the financial allocations in the budget did not include them,” Al-Moussawi stated in a statement to the official newspaper.
She continued by urging the House of Representatives to “place the amounts allocated for the salaries of newly registered during this year within the budget tables so that they are launched early next year 2025,” stating that “their salaries will be launched early next year if they are included in the budget.”
