According to the Ministry of Oil’s announcement on Tuesday, the Iraqi Drilling Company completed drilling and reclaiming 199 oil wells in 2023.
The Director General of the Iraqi Drilling Company, Khaled Hamza Abbas, stated that the company’s technical and engineering staff have successfully drilled 67 oil wells and restored 132 others in various Iraqi oil fields across the northern, central, and southern regions in the past year of 2023. Abbas commended the company’s technical and engineering teams for their national effort, accumulated experience, and skills. He appreciated their reliance on modern methods in drilling operations that are internationally approved and their commitment to maintaining quality performance. Abbas also praised their adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards and compliance with the requirements of the standard specifications of the integrated management system that the company applies.
