Economist: We are able to increase electricity production by establishing nuclear reactors

Iraq’s ability to overcome the electricity generation crisis by moving toward the establishment of small nuclear reactors to generate energy was confirmed on Thursday by economic expert Safwan Qusay.

Qusay said in an explanation to “Iraq can possibly create some distance from petroleum derivatives in producing and working power plants, by falling back on elective method for sustainable power and moving towards laying out atomic reactors for tranquil purposes.”

He went on to say, “There are many countries that can support Iraq in establishing reactors with the intention of establishing industrial, commercial, and agricultural cities.” “This matter requires increasing energy rates in the country, so that the trend is towards targeting 100 thousand megawatts instead of the target being 40 thousand megawatts,” he continued.

He made sense of that “the atomic reactor costs the state $374 million and can cover the whole territory’s energy needs, to such an extent that laying out 18 reactors can give the country power without the expensive petroleum products for the state.”
