Genel Energy Appoints Patrick Allman-Ward as Chair of the Board
Genel Energy has announced the appointment of Patrick Allman-Ward as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Board, effective 9 February 2026, according to a company statement.
Allman-Ward brings more than 40 years of international upstream oil and gas experience. He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Dana Gas from 2013 to 2024, where he oversaw a period of significant transformation, strengthening governance, improving capital discipline, and delivering sustained operational and shareholder value. Prior to joining Dana Gas, he spent three decades in senior executive roles at Shell, working across multiple regions.
He currently serves as Chair of Terra Mining and Vice Chair of United Terra Enterprises, both privately held companies.
Upon his appointment at Genel Energy, Allman-Ward will become Chair of the Reserves Committee and the Nomination Committee, and a member of the Remuneration Committee. Canan Ediboğlu will return to her role as Senior Independent Director following the transition.
