Today, which happens to be Sunday, political writer Halim Salman anticipates the announcement of a series of modifications that will impact two general managers at the Central Bank of Iraq. This comes after the substantial increase in the exchange rate of the dollar.
During an interview with “Jarida,” Salman mentioned that due to the current data and the lack of success from those responsible for implementing monetary policy, there are discussions happening, both formally and informally, regarding changes to certain departments within the central bank.
Salman anticipates that there will be a package issued in the upcoming days to replace several general managers, particularly the supervisors of the currency auction. The guidance for this decision is coming from Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a al-Sudani.
