Germany-Iraq Trade Reaches EUR1.7bn

The German Embassy in Iraq has showed that change between Germany and Iraq reached €1.7 billion in 2024, with a ten% growth in German exports over 4 years.

Roland Westebbe, Deputy Director of the German Embassy mission in Iraq, said that Germany ambitions to expand its trade members of the family with Iraq, viewing it as a promising market for investment.

He highlighted the active function of German groups in Iraq, specifically Siemens, which is contributing notably to the electricity and electricity sector, and Veridos, which operates in clever identification solutions.

Westebbe also referred to Germany’s involvement in Iraq’s reconstruction, in particular in housing tasks, and emphasized the role of German foreign Ministry-affiliated groups in assisting financial development initiatives.
