MP Adila Hammoud from the State of Law Coalition said on Thursday that a final decision on the next prime minister is close.
She explained that the Coordination Framework has made major progress in talks about forming the next government. According to Hammoud, the upcoming meeting of the Framework is expected to officially settle on Nouri al-Maliki as the nominee for prime minister.
Speaking to the Information Agency, Hammoud said the next step is to move quickly and wrap up the process in line with constitutional and political rules. She stressed that the Coordination Framework wants to form a strong government that can face the challenges ahead and move the country forward.
