A prisoner who violated the law by continuing to observe transactions at the Karrada Al-Sharqiya Civil Affairs Department was sentenced to two years in jail by the Central Criminal Court on Sunday.
“The convict received sums of money from citizens in exchange for carrying out their transactions illegally and in agreement and participation with other defendants working in the Karrada Al-Sharqiya Civil Affairs Department,” according to a statement that was obtained by from the Supreme Judicial Council.
“The decision was made in accordance with the provisions of Article 308 of the Penal Code,” he said.
