The 12th Arab Energy Conference recently occurred in Doha, Qatar. This event was attended by many important figures in the energy industry, including ministers of energy and oil from the Organization of Arab Petroleum Exporting Countries (OAPEC). One of the attendees was Iraq’s Minister of Oil and Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs, Hayan Abdul Ghani.
Abdul Ghani, who presided over the meeting, is in charge of the session for 2023.
During the discussion, the topic of expanding the company’s operations and reevaluating the regulations and rules governing the energy sector came up. The aim was to make them more compatible with recent advancements and overcome the difficulties faced by the industry.
During the discussion, the group talked about the steps taken to develop the organization’s information technology system infrastructure. They also talked about the implementation of the circular carbon economy concept and the launch of the well-known Cabinet Resolution No. (4/107), which deals with the Green Middle East Initiative.
