Iraq ranks second on the list of investors who have obtained Jordanian citizenship.

Jordan’s Ministry of Investment announced on Tuesday that Iraqi investors ranked second among all nationalities gaining Jordanian citizenship between 2018 and 2025.

According to a ministry statement reported by dinaropinions.com, Syrian investors topped the list. A total of 211 Syrians obtained Jordanian citizenship through investment programs, making them the largest group to benefit from this process.

Iraqi investors came in second, with 136 individuals receiving Jordanian citizenship during the same period. The ministry said this reflects the strong presence of Iraqi investment in Jordan over recent years.

Palestinian investors ranked third, with 103 gaining citizenship. Canada placed fourth with 17 investors, followed by Yemen in fifth place with 11. Pakistan came sixth, with eight investors receiving Jordanian citizenship through investment.

Libya ranked seventh, as seven Libyan investors obtained citizenship. The United States and Lebanon shared eighth place, with six investors each. Saint Kitts and Nevis rounded out the list in tenth place, with four investors gaining Jordanian citizenship through investment programs.

The figures highlight how Jordan’s citizenship-by-investment program has attracted investors from a wide range of countries over the past several years.
