Iraq has signed a contract for the development of its 1/3 offshore pipeline to enhance the stability and versatility of crude oil exports from its southern ports. The mission, that is being completed by using a consortium of Italian organization Micoperi and Turkish company Esta, is designed to handle 2.4 million barrels in keeping with day.
The Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul Ghani, said that this project is a strategic initiative and aligns with the authorities’s plan to make sure the stableness and versatility of crude oil export operations from southern Iraq’s ports. The pipeline will allow for crude oil exports from 3 places: Basra Port, Khor al-Amaya Port, and a floating platform.
