The Iraqi Oil Ministry’s Undersecretary for Distribution Affairs, Ali Maarij, has said that Iraq targets to include 12 Gigawatts (GW) of sun strength into its electricity mix through 2030, along intensified efforts to capture herbal fuel and decrease flaring.
He made the comments at a ceremony to launch a primary new record from the worldwide Renewable electricity business enterprise (IRENA) on the popularity and outlook of Iraq’s energy transition.
