Iraq became the number one destination for Jordanian exports in 2025, based on new figures from the Amman Chamber of Commerce. The data also shows that Jordan’s exports had a solid year overall.
In 2025, the total value of exports covered by certificates of origin reached about 1.43 billion Jordanian dinars, or roughly $2 billion. That’s an increase of nearly 5% compared to 2024, when exports stood at around 1.36 billion dinars.
Iraq led the list by a wide margin. Exports to Iraq were worth about 629 million dinars, backed by 3,545 certificates of origin. This made Iraq Jordan’s biggest export partner by value.
Switzerland came in second, with exports totaling about 134 million dinars. What stood out there was the small number of shipments—just 33 certificates—showing that each shipment was very high in value.
Saudi Arabia followed with exports worth around 104 million dinars, then Egypt at about 96 million dinars, and the United Arab Emirates at roughly 84 million dinars. Together, these five countries made up the largest share of Jordan’s exports by value.
The number of certificates issued also climbed. In total, 40,945 certificates of origin were issued in 2025, up nearly 7% from the year before. That points to stronger trade activity overall.
When you break it down by product type, the biggest share came from foreign goods that were re-exported through Jordan, worth about 687 million dinars. Jordanian industrial products followed at around 254 million dinars, while agricultural goods came in at about 185 million dinars.
In simple terms, Jordan exported more in 2025, issued more trade certificates, and saw Iraq take the top spot as its biggest export destination.
