The Iraqi authorities has reviewed a proposed agreement with Lukoil following its withdrawal from the West Qurna 2 subject.

The discussions passed off in the course of a meeting chaired via top Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, with the participation of Deputy high Minister for electricity Affairs and Minister of Oil Hayan Abdul Ghani Al-Sawad, Finance Minister Taif Sami, and senior oil ministry officers.

The assembly addressed the criminal framework for a final settlement with Lukoil, examining the causes of delays and agreeing on key factors to establish a criminal basis for the settlement. A final recommendation has been submitted to the Council of Ministers for selection.

In February, the prime Minister’s office said that the cupboard had accepted a agreement with Lukoil to transfer operations to Basra Oil corporation (BOC).
