The necessary legislation to replace the currency has been put in place and approved by parliament, so it hasn’t started yet.However, the Finance Committee (GOI) must also support them. I’ve been informed that this will shortly be put to a vote, and if it passes, the procedure will start.According to what I’ve been told, all efforts are still focused on reinstatement in January 2026.
