Iraq exported more over five million barrels of oil to the US in January, according to data released on Monday by the US Energy Information Administration.
“Iraq exported 5.387 million barrels of crude oil to America during the month of January, with an average export of 173 thousand barrels per day, lower than the month of December 2023, whose exports amounted to 5.611,” the government stated in a table obtained by millions of barrels, moving 193,000 barrels a day on average.
“Iraq exported an average of 192 thousand barrels of crude oil per day to America during the first week of January last year,” the statement continued. “In the second week, the average export dropped to 64 thousand barrels per day, and in the third and fourth weeks, the average export increased to 206 thousand barrels per day.” On average, 205 thousand barrels were produced each day.
She stated that, “Canada ranked first as the country that exports the most oil to America,” noting that “Iraq ranked fifth in its exports to America during the past month after Canada, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Brazil, and ranked second in the Arab world after Saudi Arabia, whose exports amounted to nine million barrels.” Mexico comes next.
