It will be different… Parliamentary Finance talks about the developments in the current year’s budget

The Parliamentary Finance Committee unveiled the most recent changes to the federal general budget for the current year today, Wednesday.

“The committee is waiting for the government to send the draft 2024 budget to make the necessary amendments to it,” said Jamal Cougar, a member of Parliamentary Finance.

“This year’s budget will be different in terms of resources, oil price estimates, and disbursements, and will be subject to numerous changes,” Koger continued.

“Parliament granted the government the authority to begin the current year’s budget without stopping and to continue disbursing last year’s budget until it is completed,” he pointed out.

Several experts in economic affairs applauded the Council of Ministers’ approval of a “tripartite” budget that extends until 2025. They highlighted the passages that support the acceleration of sustainable development, particularly in the areas of health and education.
