The Kurdistan Regional Government has officially launched a new digital platform called e-Psule, aimed at making government payments easier and more modern.
The platform is a unified electronic system for issuing government payment receipts. It is part of a wider effort to update public financial services and move away from cash payments and paper-based procedures.
The Central Bank of Iraq has approved the system, giving it official backing. Through e-Psule, citizens across all governorates of the Kurdistan Region can access their government receipts at any time of the day, without needing to visit government offices. The service starts with electricity bill payments and is expected to expand to other services later.
One important point the government stressed is that the service is completely free. There are no extra fees or commissions for payments made through the platform or its authorized partners.
The platform also gives users full control. No money will be deducted from salaries or bank accounts without the clear approval of the citizen. Every payment generates a transparent digital receipt that clearly shows the difference between outstanding balances and current charges.
Citizens can use several payment options. These include the official e-Psule application, approved e-wallets such as FastPay, AsiaPay, and NassWallet, as well as participating banks like FIB and Cihan Bank.
Officials say the goal of e-Psule is to improve transparency, make services faster and more efficient, and support the Kurdistan Region’s broader move toward digital transformation.
