Ghaleb Muhammad, a former member of the Parliamentary Oil and Gas Committee, has confirmed that the Kurdistan Regional Government is still negotiating with the central government to hand over oil revenues and other related matters. He emphasized that the Baghdad government needs to take urgent and decisive actions to resolve the current crisis between the region and the center.

During an interview with the [source name], Muhammad stated that the lack of unity among the Kurdish parties is the primary obstacle to resolving the oil revenue issue with the Baghdad government. He further explained that the Kurdistan Democratic Party has direct authority over the oil file.

He stated that with the Kurdistan government now in the caretaker position, the central government’s decision has gained more strength than ever before. He also mentioned that the Kurdistan Regional Government is still negotiating with the central government regarding the issue of handing over oil revenues and other related matters.

During an interview, a former Member of Parliament stated that the Ministry of Oil should be transparent with the public about the issues they are facing. Additionally, they emphasized the need for the Baghdad government to make decisive and stern decisions regarding the ongoing crisis between the region and the center.

During an interview with a news outlet, Zahra Al-Bajari, a member of the House of Representatives, disclosed that the Kurdistan region is still exporting oil illegally, using new methods compared to previous years. She also stated that corruption is present in the departments facilitating this smuggling, wherever money is involved.
