Kurdistan Finance Ministry: Salaries of those not registered in "My Account" are suspended until registration is completed.

The Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Finance and Economy announced today, Thursday, that salaries will be stopped for any civilian or military employee who still hasn’t registered in the “My Account” project. This step comes after a decision from the Federal Ministry of Finance.

In its statement, the ministry said that all employees, security forces, and families who receive government payments must complete the “My Account” registration form. If they don’t, their September salary will be paused until they finish the process.

The ministry also pointed out that some families have already finished all the steps to get their bank cards but haven’t picked them up yet. They’re being asked to visit the bank and collect their cards as soon as possible. Starting from the October salary, payments will only be made through the “My Account” system.

According to the ministry, around 90% of employees in the Kurdistan Region—both civilian and military—have already registered. But there are still some who haven’t completed the process.

They made it clear that the Federal Ministry of Finance has decided that anyone who doesn’t have a bank account and isn’t registered in “My Account” by the end of this year will have their salary completely stopped from Baghdad. It will no longer be sent to the region.

The ministry also stressed that beginning next year, salaries will not be paid in cash at all. Anyone who delays their registration or slows down the process will be held legally and administratively responsible.
