Jabbar Awda, the Coordination Framework’s chairman, announced today, Friday, that a crucial meeting would be place in Baghdad this evening to determine the choices for the House of Representatives file presidency.
Awda stated in an interview with dinaropinions. “Representatives of forces in the Coordination Framework will hold this meeting with the aim of supporting efforts to resolve the issue of the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives and nominate a competent figure to manage the highest legislative body in the country in the coming period.”
Awda stated that “the ball is now in the court of the Sunni forces to determine their compass and seek to present options to proceed with in tomorrow’s session.”
He stated that “all political forces, without exception, support the completion of this file and the transition to the rest of the other entitlements, especially the controversial laws.”
It is important to note that the disagreements hindered the selection of a candidate for Speaker of the House of Representatives for almost a year.
