Ahmed Shaheed Al-Shammari, a member of the Popular Legal Movement, confirmed today, Thursday, that the movement plans to sue the US Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, for her blatant interference in Iraq’s internal affairs.
“The ambassador repeats her provocative statements and blatant interference in Iraqi affairs and the work of the Council of Representatives,” Al-Shammari stated.
He added, “The proclamations of the US Diplomat to Baghdad, Alina Romanowski, are bringing discussion up in Iraqi political and famous circles, the most recent of which is her impedance in revising the Individual Status Regulation.”
He asked the political forces not to let this ambassador get involved in the affairs of Iraq.
