MP: America is behind Iraq’s economic crises

MP Moeen Al-Kadhimi said on Tuesday that America is to blame for the economic problems in Iraq.

Al-Kadhimi said in a meeting with , “The Iraqi economy faces complex difficulties that follow a few ways, the idea of which should be perceived to foster proper arrangements and look to take shape a guide that prompts improving its capacities in standing up to any vacillations in worldwide business sectors.”

“America is pressuring Baghdad to export oil in dollars, and it does not allow a variety of currencies that give greater flexibility to commercial activity,” he added. “Stressing that Washington is behind Iraq’s economic crises for several reasons, the most prominent of which is not allowing it to benefit from its money in Washington as it sees fit according to an Iraqi vision,” he continued. “America is pressuring Baghdad to export oil in dollars.”

“The Central Bank must have plans and at the same time be open to the public to show the reality of the situation and seek to show objective solutions that embarrass the American side and push it to deal with Iraq’s requirements that it has the right to spend money according to its vision,” he stated.

It is interesting that the United States is using the dollar as a card to exert pressure on Iraq in order to accomplish numerous goals.
