MP attacks Oil Ministry over Aqaba pipeline: Your justifications are false

Individual from the Parliamentary Money Panel, Mustafa Al-Karawi, blamed the Service for Oil today, Tuesday, of covering numerous realities with respect to the Aqaba pipeline project.

“The Ministry of Oil should have stated the truth about this project with numbers and not with false statements and justifications,” Al-Karawi said in a statement to “The Aqaba pipeline project is not clear and the ministry is hiding many facts regarding its feasibility.”

“Added he: “The Ministry of Oil’s construction data will be of no use, and the facts of this project must be revealed,” the ministry stated. “We asked the Ministry of Oil for data proving the importance of this project, but the latter refused to provide us, and this raises a lot of suspicion and doubt.”

He went on to say: We have spoken with the Oil and Gas Board and the Service of Oil in regards to this undertaking a few times and have posed inquiries for a half year at this point, and we have not gotten any responses from them.” He hoped that the ministry would work with him to “clarify the reality of this pipeline in terms of its economic feasibility, the duration of the project’s completion, the costs, and the country’s revenues, in order to reach a conclusion about the benefit of this project, which we consider to be nothing but ink on paper.”

The Service of Oil dismissed in an explanation all assertions and data that it called deceiving about the Basra-Aqaba unrefined petroleum pipeline project and communicated its shock at the demand of a few political figures and people to keep deluding general assessment in regards to the undertaking.
