Yasser Hashem, a representative from the Iraqi Council of Representatives, accused the administration of being irresponsible for postponing the delivery of a draft law on a uniform pay scale for public workers today, Sunday.
Hashem stated, “The salary scale for employees is not the responsibility of the Council of Representatives, indicating that a draft law on the salary scale for employees is on the government’s table.”
He stated that “the government’s responsibility is to send the salary scale law for employees to the Council of Representatives, noting that there is a parliamentary confirmation on the government to send the law to the Council of Representatives for the purpose of legislating it,”
He went on to say that “the current government bears responsibility for delaying sending the amendment to the salary scale law to the Council of Representatives.”
