MP identifies negatives of Cabinet decision on oil companies

On Saturday, MP Hatem Al-Saedi pointed out the flaws in the Cabinet’s decision regarding Iraqi oil companies.

Al-Saadi stated in an interview, “Oil companies are making exceptional efforts to continue production and ensure the continuity of pumping oil to global markets, highlighting that Cabinet Resolution No. 26400 will cause long-term consequences and transform businesses from profitable to losing.”

He added, “Any choice that hurts the economy should be quit, calling for it to be rethought, dropped, and the privileges of oil organization workers to be protected.”

He brought up that “oil abundance is the foundation of the public economy, and any choice that influences the freedoms of organization representatives has serious repercussions.”

The fact that the Council of Ministers decided to direct a portion of the profits from oil companies to the state treasury is noteworthy.
