On Friday, MP Kamel Al-Akeili provided feedback on six Baghdad service projects.
“The state spends billions of dinars to finance service projects in Baghdad and the rest of the governorates,” Al-Akeili stated. “However, some of them are not implemented according to specifications, and there are question marks over some of them.” He said that during his field trips, he noticed a lot of bad things about a lot of important projects.”
“an official request was submitted to the Prime Minister to form an investigation committee into the projects of six areas in the capital, Baghdad, located within multiple geographical axes, including the east of the canal,” he continued, “in order to ensure the implementation of specifications in project contracts, leading to their completion according to technical and engineering conditions.”
He said, “The supervisory performance requires us to pay attention to the services file because it represents a special priority for the vast areas that are in dire need of integrated service projects.” He was referring to the fact that “the services file” is a special priority.
It is important to note that many projects are not carried out in accordance with the engineering and technical specifications outlined in the contracts, which is evidence of corruption.
