Muhammad Ali Al-Abbasi, who is in charge of the Oil and Energy Committee in the Najaf Provincial Council, made the announcement on Saturday that the province will not experience the planned power outage during the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
“The combined cycle projects in Najaf Al-Ashraf reach (50) megawatts, and a (500) transformer project was launched to address the problem of bottlenecks,” Al-Abbasi stated in an interview.
“In addition to developing a plan to introduce (11) mobile transformers and (400) transformers to prepare for the Arbaeen pilgrimage, of which (70) transformers have entered service,” he added, “300 transformers have entered service.”
“The Ministry of Electricity gave exceptions during the Arbaeen visit to the holy city of Najaf,” Al-Abbasi said.
