Iraq is opening the door for more companies to enter the stock market.
The Iraqi Securities Commission (ISC) has approved five companies to be listed and traded on the over-the-counter (OTC) platform. The decision was made during its third session on April 7, 2026.
The companies include:
- Al-Yam Al-Azraq General Trading Company
- Asia Gate Insurance Company
- Al-Andalus Insurance Company
- Al-Khair Insurance Company
- Dar Al-Aman Insurance Company
This means their shares can now be bought and sold through the OTC platform, which is usually used for companies that are not yet on the main stock exchange.
In simple terms, it gives these companies a chance to grow, attract investors, and become more active in the market.
