Nokia to Build First Iraqi Govt Data Centres for Commercial Use

Iraq has signed a contract to set up its first government facts centres for business use. The settlement changed into signed in Baghdad among the overall employer for Communications and Informatics and the Finnish agency Nokia.

The task will see the construction of two centres, located on the Intisar and al-Rashid (al-Sinak) exchanges.

Minister of Communications, Dr Hiyam al-Yasiri, cited that, for the first time, Iraqi citizens’ and organizations’ data might be stored inner Iraq at government-run web sites, built to global requirements and incorporating globally known safety and reliability systems.
