Oil clarifies regarding the employment of national workers in licensing round projects

On Tuesday, the Ministry of Oil made it clear what the fundamental requirements are for signing contracts with international businesses. It also said that in all of its contracts, employing local workers gets priority.

“The Ministry of Oil is keen to employ national workers and give them priority in all contracts concluded with international companies, especially with regard to licensing rounds,” the ministry’s spokesman Asim Jihad stated in an interview, indicating that “these contracts stipulate the employment of more than 85 percent of Iraqi workers.”

That’s what he added “public laborers in the Rumaila field, which is one of the biggest oil fields, have arrived at in excess of 90%,” demonstrating that “the service, in its agreements, underlined the issue of giving need to public specialists, and worldwide organizations are focused on that.”

That’s what he added “the service finishes up agreements that specify the organizations’ obligation to utilizing laborers and embracing global norms in regards to general wellbeing and the climate, as well as giving word related security to laborers.”
