Parliamentarian: Sunni disputes have disrupted important laws

Today, Sunday, MP Ali Turki confirmed that during the current legislative session, Sunni disagreements over the position of Parliament Speaker have hampered the passage of numerous significant laws.

He urged “resolving this crisis and bringing the viewpoints of the parties closer together to end it,” stating that “the most appropriate way to decide the election of the Speaker of the House of Representatives is to leave the freedom of choice to the representatives, and they are the ones who decide who the new president will be.”
