Parliamentary Finance suggests that the Work on the budget after the 18th of July

The Parliamentary Finance Committee has recommended delaying the launch of the federal budget until after July 18th. They have also urged the government to resolve the electricity issue by investing in natural gas.
Jamal Cougar, a member of the committee, announced through a statement in the Official Gazette that the budget work will commence after the 18th of this month. He added that the budget may be launched and the Finance Committee will oversee the disbursement process.
According to him, the government has appealed 12 paragraphs of the budget, which is a normal process within their authority. The Federal Court will now review these appeals and make a decision. The Finance Committee anticipated that some paragraphs would be contested, which was confirmed by the Minister of Finance. Despite this, the committee carried out its responsibilities and included what it considered appropriate based on the opinions of its members.
Regarding the electricity crisis, Cougar clarified that the government has allocated funds in the budget for Iranian gas payments. However, the United States’ blockade on Iran is preventing the money from reaching its destination. Cougar suggested that the government should invest in associated gas to resolve the crisis and avoid any external or internal interference.
