Member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, Hadi Al-Salami, confirmed these days, Sunday, that the change to the federal finances includes numerous monetary and constitutional violations, noting that the government did no longer abide by way of the laws in pressure in submitting the change.
Al-Salami said in a declaration to dinaropinions.com, “The law amending the primary federal general finances regulation for the years 2023-2025, which become submitted by means of the government to the house of Representatives, violates the legal guidelines in force, together with the financial control law No. 6 of 2019 and the Iraqi constitution, in particular Article 62 thereof.”
He added, “The authorities did not send the overall finances tables formally in spite of the end of the financial year, that is a clear violation of the financial control law,” noting that “in preference to sending the price range, the government submitted a budget amendment regulation, which includes adding an amount of $sixteen for each barrel of oil produced within the Kurdistan region.”
He defined that “this degree raises huge controversy because there are billions of bucks owed via the Kurdistan area to the federal government that have no longer been paid but, in addition to the reality that the federal authorities does no longer impose its full manipulate over the location, which operates in keeping with unbiased legal guidelines that regularly war with federal laws.”
He persisted, pronouncing: “We, as representatives, refuse to attend the sessions to speak about the price range change in the next legislative consultation due to its criminal and financial violations, further to the lack of compatibility between federal and regional legal guidelines.”
it is noteworthy that the government has now not sent the price range tables but due to many disagreements over including $sixteen per barrel of oil within the Kurdistan area.
