A member of a political movement, Muhammad Abu Sa’ida, says the Trump administration is trying to put pressure on Iraq’s political process.

Speaking about the situation, he claimed that the US is working in different ways to block or weaken any government that might be formed by Nouri al-Maliki in the next المرحلة.

According to Abu Sa’ida, the American side understands Maliki’s ability to lead, describing him as someone who can make strong decisions without hesitation, whether in times of conflict or peace.

He went on to say that the pressure isn’t just political—it could involve creating real challenges on the ground. The goal, he believes, is to make sure any government led by Maliki struggles to succeed or eventually collapses.

He also pointed to specific concerns, including the issue of transferring terrorist prisoners into Iraq. He warned that this could place a heavy financial burden on the government and create serious security risks.

In his view, all of these steps are part of a broader effort to weaken any upcoming government formed under Maliki’s leadership.
