Today, Tuesday, Saeed al-Dulaimi, mayor of the Anbar district, announced the reconstruction and rehabilitation of a power station west of the city of Ramadi that had been out of service for more than six years due to terrorist activities.

“The Ministry of Electricity is reconstructing and rehabilitating the mobile Hasa station 132/33 avk,” Al-Dulaimi said in a statement, “which supplies the district of Ana, west of the city of Ramadi, with electrical energy after it stopped working for more than 6 years due to its exposure to theft of towers and wires by elements of the terrorist organization during its control over large areas of the cities of Anbar.” Al-Dulaimi was referring to the fact that

“Since the end of the terrorist operations, the district of Ana has been in complete darkness due to the collapse of power transmission lines,” he continued, “which prompted some residents of the area to extend wires to transmit power from the district of Haditha to confront the electricity crisis caused by the previous events.”

He explained that “reconstructing, rehabilitating, and operating the station will contribute to restoring electricity to the district’s areas, in addition to providing electricity to agricultural projects, as these areas have suffered from a complete power outage for more than six years,” noting that “these areas have been relying on private generators since this period.”
