The Iraqi parliament’s protracted debate over amendments to legislation regulating the popular Mobilization gadgets (PMU) can be nearing its end. reviews suggest that a deal has been struck among Shiite Coordination Framework leaders clearing the way for the amendments to be introduced within the parliament.
At issue are proposals implementing a mandatory retirement age of 60. that would doubtlessly force out a huge quantity of veteran PMU commanders-and perhaps clean the manner for a political reorientation of the Iran-subsidized umbrella force.
