A Solana Foundation manager, known as Vibhu, has thrown down the gauntlet — challenging Ripple executives and XRP community members to a live-streamed debate on X.
His message was simple:
“You bring facts, I bring facts. Let the internet decide who wins.”
Vibhu says the goal isn’t drama — it’s transparency. He wants a public, data-driven comparison between Solana and XRP Ledger (XRPL) performance.
📊 The Numbers Don’t Lie (According to Vibhu)
Here’s what Vibhu shared:
- Active daily users
- Solana: ~2.5 million
- XRP Ledger: ~25,000
That’s a 100x difference.
- Daily transactions
- Solana: ~100 million
- XRP Ledger: ~1.5 million
- Transfer volume
- XRP: Around $50–60 billion per month
- Solana: Nearly $2 trillion in stablecoin volume in October alone
Vibhu said he excluded wash volume and bot traffic in the Solana data, citing independent analytics from Blockworks.
🧠 Vibhu’s Message to XRP Fans
He stressed this isn’t about attacking XRP — he actually hopes Ripple succeeds massively.
But he says the current traction is “mediocre” compared to Solana’s momentum.
“Maybe Ripple is buying their way into growth through acquisitions. That could change things. But that’s not happening today,” Vibhu said.
⚖️ Why It Matters
This challenge highlights a bigger conversation in crypto:
Which blockchain is actually being used — not just traded or hyped?
Solana has been gaining strong traction in DeFi, NFTs, and stablecoin settlements, while XRP’s growth has remained relatively flat in daily usage.
If Ripple accepts the challenge, this could be one of the most high-profile ecosystem debates in years — a showdown between two of crypto’s most passionate communities.
💬 Your Turn
