The Central Bank of Iraq denies the US Federal Reserve’s refusal to send the country’s oil dues

The US Federal Bank’s dollar shipments follow a predetermined schedule, confirmed by the Central Bank of Iraq on Friday.

In a statement received on Thursday, he confirmed that the shipment was received on time. He also denied news and media reports that suggested any halting or reduction in shipments being sent to the bank.

The Central Bank of Iraq has urged the media to ensure accuracy in publishing information related to monetary policy in Iraq. The bank has advised the media to obtain such information from approved sources, which are the official website and official accounts on social media sites.

According to an article in The Wall Street Journal, the US has turned down Iraq’s request for one billion dollars in cash from the Federal Reserve Bank. The reason given for the rejection was that it went against their efforts to prevent Baghdad from using the dollar and to stop illegal cash transfers to Iran.

According to American officials cited by an American newspaper, the banknotes in the possession of Iraqis have become a profitable source of illegal dollars that end up in the hands of militias, corrupt politicians, and even Iran.
