The House of Representatives votes on the investment protection agreement law between Iraq and the UAE

The House of Representatives voted on Tuesday to ratify a law encouraging and protecting investment between Iraq and the UAE, while also completing readings of two other bills.

According to our House of Representatives correspondent, Parliament ratified a bill to encourage and protect investment between the governments of Iraq and the United Arab Emirates.

The House of Representatives completed the first reading of the draft law for amending the law on personal liability insurance for state department and public sector employees (No. 47 of 1990).

I was informed by someone that the Council has finished the first reading of a draft law that ratifies an agreement exempting holders of diplomatic and service passports from the requirement of an entry visa when traveling between Iraq and the government of Cyprus.

The council has decided to adjourn its session until next Thursday.
